The nearest international airport is Sydney Kingsford Smith (SYD), located approximately two hours from the Hunter Valley by car.
Flights are typically released around 11–12 months in advance, so we recommend keeping an eye out early to secure the best fares. Major international airlines such as Qantas, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Etihad all offer frequent routes to Sydney.
BY CAR
The Hunter Valley is approximately a two-hour drive from Sydney through scenic countryside.
For our overseas guests, car hire is available at Sydney Airport and throughout the city. It’s the easiest way to explore at your own pace and enjoy the beautiful drive to wine country.
Parking is available on-site for all guests.

We’ve compiled a list of accommodation options in Wollombi, Millfield, and Laguna all within the region where our wedding transport will collect and return guests on the day.
We’d love for everyone to stay a little longer and join us for the Saturday Recovery Party, so we encourage booking at least two nights to make the most of the weekend!
WHAT TO DO
If you’re travelling to Australia, we’d love for you to make the most of your time here. Take a dip at Bondi Icebergs, grab a 6am coffee by the beach after a sunrise swim, and ease into the Aussie way of life. Spend your days day-drinking in the sun, watching the sunset over at Watsons Bay, and indulging in Sydney’s incredible food scene.
Then, head two hours north to the Hunter Valley for wine tastings, long lunches among the vines, or even a hot air balloon ride. Wollombi is a charming village is full of character. Grab a coffee or bite at the Wollombi General Store and on Saturday evening, we’ll all head to the Wollombi Tavern after the recovery party for a relaxed pub food and drinks.
